Terms of Service

1. Introduction

These terms govern the provision of mentorship and tuition services by First Principles Academy ("we", "us", "our"). By booking sessions you agree to these terms.

2. Services

We provide 1-to-1 mentorship, diagnostic assessments, and ongoing progress feedback in Maths and Science for secondary-school students. Session length, frequency and scope are agreed at booking.

3. Bookings and payments

Bookings are confirmed once payment (or deposit where applicable) is received. We accept payment via the methods described at the point of booking. Fees may be updated from time to time; existing bookings will be honoured at the agreed rate.

4. Cancellation and refunds

If you need to cancel or reschedule please contact us as soon as possible. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may be charged in full at our discretion.

5. Confidentiality

We respect pupil and family confidentiality. Diagnostic notes and progress feedback are used only to support the student's learning. Our tutors keep everything personal — they will not share your information outside the Academy without consent, except where required by law (for example safeguarding concerns).

6. Liability

While we use reasonable care in providing services, we do not guarantee specific outcomes. Our liability for direct losses caused by our negligence is limited to the amount paid for the relevant services. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland (or substitute the correct jurisdiction). Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.

8. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms from time to time; the latest version will be published on this page.
